“…..and that government: of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.”

We all know this line is from the closing of President Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address.

Let’s ask ourselves. Are we still of the people, by the people, for the people? Do we take an active part in our Government, perhaps not as much as we should. Or do we just sit back and “let someone else do it”.' Well, it’s time for change, and we all know that change is good.

That’s what we hope to instill in you today through this website.

We at New Hartford Concerned Citizens want to you to be informed, to know what is going on in your town, your neighborhood. To voice your opinions to us, to your town officials, that’s what “Concerned Citizens” do.

We are going to try to help you by revamping our website, try to make it more user friendly and get you, the citizens of New Hartford, more involved. We want you to ask questions and we in turn will get you the answers.

We will try to keep you informed on Town Board Meetings and hope to encourage you to attend and take part in what happens in our town.

We welcome and encourage your suggestions on how to make this newsletter work for you.
